Outsourcing Delivery Methods

These two delivery methods allow our customers to manage their workload either by project or by function, and provide our customers with the flexibility to choose which solution best fits their business needs.

  • Project-Based Outsourcing

    Project-Based Outsourcing work is performed on a project-by-project basis at one of our CDI-Aerospace Design Centers in conjunction with liaison teams based at our customer's site. CDI assumes full responsibility from schedule and project management, to delivery and acceptance.

  • Functional Outsourcing

    CDI-Aerospace builds and manages a customer-dedicated outsourcing-support operation (on-site or off-site, with or without hardware and software), and assumes responsibility for a complete function of an entire project.

  • Planning & Work Package Review

    One of CDI's greatest strengths lies in our ability to review the required work, estimate resources and schedule, prepare a proposal, and develop a project plan in a short amount of time with a high degree of accuracy. Quality and program plans are tailored according to customer specifications using customizable templates.

  • Outsourcing Proposals

    We realize that a proposal is not only a vehicle for our customers to evaluate their options, but is also a reflection of professionalism and commitment to price, schedule and capability.

    Taking a comprehensive approach, CDI-Aerospace generally includes an estimate of hours, a work breakdown structure, our technical approach, key assumptions and proposed resources - and we deliver it within the requested timeline established by each customer.

Outsourcing Delivery Tools

  • Distance Engineering

    Distance Engineering enables communication and transmission of engineering work packages between the customer and CDI-Aerospace using secure dedicated data lines, Internet-based technologies and the latest collaborative engineering tools. Understanding that each customer has its own challenges, CDI offers the flexibility in setting up its environment to meet your demands. These processes and technologies enable us to perform work around the globe, around the clock, making the process seamless to our customers.

  • Engineering Liaison

    In this relationship, CDI-Aerospace provides an on-site liaison coordinator or team that integrates the customer's processes with a CDI-Aerospace Design Center. The coordination activities of the liaison team allow for successful data transfer and immediate response to customer needs, creating a seamless link between the customer and CDI-Aerospace.

  • Real-Time Visibility

    Today, more than ever, it is essential for our customers to have an up-to-the-minute status of every task being performed. The importance of real-time visibility lies in assessing quality, time-to-complete and other measurements critical to planning throughout the duration of the project.

    CDI-Aerospace has developed a comprehensive set of customizable metrics that can be delivered at customer requested frequencies. In addition, CDI-Aerospace uses the latest interactive technologies to allow real-time information sharing at anytime, anywhere in the world.

  • Project Acceptance & Lessons Learned

    Once the outlined deliverable has been completed and delivered, our job is far from complete. CDI-Aerospace stands ready to provide ongoing support in the form of changes, updates or even data retention. In addition, at the completion of each project, a "lessons learned" is generated and shared with our customers for continuous improvements.
